Prince V. Frog

The world is filled with Princesses, Princes and Frogs. All the Princess wants to do is find her Prince; she will do anything to find him. Some Princesses are so busy trying to find their Prince that they just keep pulling up frogs instead of actually looking. Princes are just stuck with the frogs, hoping that one day the Princess will find them. Some Princesses will just give up and try to make their life happy with a frog, but they are never truly happy. Me? Oh I’m not a prince; no I’m just a frog. Always have been and I always will be. But just because I’m a frog doesn’t mean I can’t care about the princess…

…Hope one day she picks me up and gives me that kiss…But know instead of turning into a prince I would still just be a frog. Eventually I’d be put back on the lily pad, and watch the princess continue her search, and know that I was just like the other frogs before me.

Maybe I’d think that a princess will pick me up and she will pretend I was her prince. But it would be hallow and empty…And I would end back on my lily pad again. No, it would be better if it was quick and simple, and not drag it out.
For frogs, it always ends the same way.

Heartbroken.

As a frog you pull yourself together, back on your lily pad. It doesn’t matter, another Princess will come along and ruin everything...In the nicest way and you will be back where you started.

But for all of you Princesses out there…Keep looking for a Prince, don’t get discouraged and settle for a frog, he’s there, you’re just not looking for him. I don’t mind at all…For that moment I had hope that maybe I was a prince…that’s all I can live for, so if you would be kind enough to return me to my lily pad so I can continue waiting…
